How to add or edit a Reset Password Request Form for members
You can add a Reset Password Request Form to any page or blog post within uSkinned Site Builder for Umbraco.
A Reset Password Request Form is directly related to your website Membership. This will be the form shown to users who have forgotten their password and wish to request a new password. Once the form has been submitted, an email will be sent to the user with a unique, secure link to reset their password.
uSkinned Site Builder for Umbraco comes with a variety of form types out of the box. These include Contact Form, Newsletter Signup Form, Umbraco Forms Compatible Option, Login Form, Reset Password Request Form, Reset Password Form and Register Form.

Step 1
Login to the CMS.
Step 2
In the tree menu on the left, go to (or create) a page or blog post.
Step 3
On the 'Content' tab, scroll to 'Main Content'.
Step 4
Click the 'Add content' button.
Step 5
From the slide-out panel, select the component 'Form'.
Step 6
At the label 'Form type', select 'Reset Password Request Form'.
Step 7
At the label 'Login form page', please use the field to select the location of your log in page.
Step 8
At the label 'Reset password page', please use the field to select the location of your reset password page.
Step 9
Here you can add:
- Heading
- Secondary Heading
- Introduction copy
- Button text
- Submission message:
- We would recommend you add content here, this will let your users know they have submitted successfully.
Step 10
At the label 'Reset password email', please enter the information that is present within the email sent to the user after the request.
Use the snippet codes to include a unique name and reset link for each user.
Step 11
In the bottom right, hit 'Submit'.
Step 12
'Save and Publish' your page or blog post.
Your new 'Reset Password Request Form' is now available on your website. Users can now request to reset their password for their account on your website.
